I just put Garmin Worldmap into my GPS mostly using a mac.

All freewares:

Garmin Bobcat is the MacOS version of Mapsource. You can do many functions there as you did with Mapsource.

For transferring maps into your GPS unit:

You need Garmin Map Manager and MapInstall

The only thing that's still in Windows is the Garmin MapConverter, to make PC-spec maps mac-worthy. Then have them loaded with MapManager and transferred with MapInstall in mac. If Garmin releases OSX version of MapConverter, then it'll be 100% mac-only solution for Garmin stuff. Looking how quickly they've developed different softwares for OSX I reckon this day isn't far away. :)

Few more nice utilities for OSX:

Garmin POI Loader to load yer points into yer GPS.

Garmin WebUpdater is a simple 1-click way to keep your GPS unit loaded with the latest firmware.

Garmin's site dedicated for MacOSX can be found here.

Hope this helps someone who looks to get rid of Windows/Bootcamp/Parallels in their mac :beerjug:
