Iv,e had apair of Altbergs for eight years now and they are great. Another Bonus is that when either the Sole, Lining, Velco etc are worn out Altberg will rebuild them as good as new. Mayby they are not built to Ship Building Standards but they are very comfortable for both Riding and Walking. You could say that any Boot which restricts Gear Selection (as has been mentioned on this thread) is a Safety Concern in it,s own right. All Motorcycle Clothing varies in the amount of protection offered and this usually is a compromise between Protection and Comfort. How many times have we seen some Guy dismount from his R1, Blade or 1098 and walk around in a contorted manner due to his Full Race Leathers and Race Boots. Comfort and easy manlipulation of controls is an important part of Safety but the most important part is the bit between our ears. (all IMHO)

Agreed but it's a shame they can't update their designs to incorporate some of the more modern safety features. The feel issue is why my Tech 3's are currently such a bargain ;) I don't think I would get used to riding that way.

Anyone know if there is much of a difference between the TCX Infinity Goretex and the BMW Santiago???

Are the "No Stop Trial" boots flexible then? That's the one thing the A'stars site does not mention??

Hi Tailspin,

Compared to the Tech boots which I found unwearable because of their stiffness and pressure points, the No stop boots are like wearing slippers but with all the protection. I have had mine for three years now and when I do replace them it will be the same again. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned :thumb

Excellent, will give em a go in the shop. The list to try on is now the "No Stop", HG / TCX infinity and the BMW boots. Cheers Guys.

You sure I can't tempt anyone with some tech 3's??? :augie;)
