Bought a pair of these boots from.....................

Grandprix legends............

£90 instead of the normal £130. :thumb2 Unfortunately - I had to take the black ones as they didn't make them in yellow :(

Nicely made boots that importantly - protect your ankles from contact with the tarmac :blast.

I bought them for summer use, but they look as though they would be okay for annexing Poland if required :mcgun

They also have a pretty good deal on Fog City inserts :thumb

Interesting pricing policy from Grand Prix Legends. I have seen them at bike shows and races .. always thought they were really expensive.

Had a look round the site .. especially the special offers (I am cheap :D )
Their sale price is the same as other people's regular selling price

BUYERS BEWARE

Nice Alpinestar boots you got there though Al! :D

i cant find em for 90 anywhere else?seems cheap:confused:were they a good fit?

Oh - mine are size 10 :augie

Novice - Not sure about the pricing......... they were the cheapest by far for the Tech 2 boots, and the Alpinestars GP Pro gloves (don't ask :o) are £90 instead of the usual £130. I'd be interested to know if anyone else is knocking them out at that price.

Mair gloves............

The boots have tan suade-like finish to one side, so would go well with a pair of your slacks :augie

I bought them to wear with thin socks ( for the summer ) and they fit fine (I usually go for 10 1/2 and wear thick socks. I have very wide feet (matches me gob) and the boots are fine :thumb2

I haven't tried them on my sports bike yet, and suspect that they may be a bit restrictive for that, but I guess they are similar to the other Alpinestars boots (the Tech ones at least) in that respect.

I reckon you could give someone a serious kicking with them on, though :augie

I was looking at their Dainese stuff :D

e.g. Barry Sheen t-shirt £29.99 is the going rate
Same with the bogota ankle boots £79.99

Maybe the Alpinestars are real clearance items :nenau

They aren't as flexible as some lower ankle-boots, but for protection - they should save your ankles (which I reckon are particularly vulnerable and dificult to fix )

Al :)

iv ordered som for the big trip this year, like u say, good enough protection, i dont like high boots:thumb

Tech 3

I know they're not quite as practical as Tech 2's but I found Tech 3's in the states for £80! So much protection for so little. Just a problem stowing them on the way home. Definitely worth a look if ever head that way on holiday. The shop is called Cycle Gear and they have quite a few outlets. Might have tech 2's as well.
