Alpos Panniers

I have a set of Alpos panniers that I had fitted to my Africa Twin with SM Motec rails.

I have the System panniers on my 1150GS.

Is there any way that I can get the Alpos panniers to fit the existing system pannier rails that are on the bike? I would be great to have the option of alu bins or the black plastic original ones.

Nope you need the racks to mount them.

If you know a good metal working/fabrication shop, anything can be made to fit.

Hi Dave,

The Alpos ones use specific mounting points on ythe GS similar to the AT.

Like you having owned both I can't see how you could adapt the alpos system "easily" to fit both systems

I'm suprised someone hasn't produced something to cover this off as I would have thought that I'm not the only one that would like to use the system panniers and the alu bins depending on what I'm doing.
