Hi,
two days to go before myself and another Tosser (BigBird) hit the road again on our 800 GSs.
Having originally planned to spend 2 weeks in the Alps exploring the various passes, imagine our surprise to learn that most of them are still under snow.
Undeterred, we are still going to try and do the loop around Andermatt and will then head up towards the Black Forest for a few days. Have read loads of good reports about this area and its roads. Will also squeeze a visit to Touratech.
Next we are going to head up to the Motorrad factory in Berlin (sent an email a couple of days again trying to blag a factory tour at short notice and they couldn't have been more helpful).
Finally we plan to head to the Ring. Whilst the 800 GS with panniers may not be the ideal ring tool, it should still be a bloody good laugh.
We are going to blog our trip http://rodandlee.wordpress.com so feel free to tune in and see where it all goes wrong.
Cheers
Rod
