Alps Pointing-device Driver

Hi, help please.

I am in a hotel in Stockholm, connecting via an ethernet cable, to the hotel's internet connection.

Zone Alarm has just flashed up that Alps Pointing-device driver is trying to access the trusted zone.

I guess that this is something trying to get in to my PC?

Should I allow it or deny it?

From a quick Google, alps Pointing-device seems to be some sort of add blocker?

Richard, I would have thought that it was actually a device driver on your machine doing its periodical check to see if there were any updates that it could download.

Whatever, if you're not sure, deny it.....you can always find out what it is afterwards and re-enable it or manually update if required......

You are running a firewall and AV prog I hope?

Check in control panel> system> hardware and look at pointing devices/ meeces (or some such setting) and it'll tell you what sort of mousepad/nipple thing you have...if it's called anything like alps pointing device, I'd be inclined to allow it

Alps Pointing Device Driver is the driver for your Vaio's touchpad and it is prolly doing what Fannykins suggests checking for updates - so allow it.

Well that chump perhaps ought to have given him a run through of common problems he might expect to see using that set up then...poor old Richard has been sitting in that hotel room panicking that his collection of 'adult interest' films was being hacked or that the photos of him in stockings and other assorted hosiery were going to be made public.

I think you'll find that chump did point out that Zonealarm requires some period of settling down and we are prolly talking about the little one which hasn't seen much action.

Why oh why Richard didn't call the Chump's premium rate oh fek I think I've just deleted my prawn collection I can only guess at

That or he's been raiding the mini bar again and is hallucinating on the jelly beans.

Sweden, the only place in the world where its cheaper to get ****ered on the contents of your mini bar than it is in the pubs
