Hi,

I've just got a Schuberth C3 helmet. It was pressing on the tips of my ears at first (quite painful) but I pressed the inside of the helmet (the white foam stuff) with the back of a spoon and now it is very comfortable. So far so good.
I am now thinking about bike communications (Schuberth SRC?) but am thinking that inserting the speakers may cause discomfort again. Is it ok to re-model, cut, sculpt the inside of the helmet to fit the speakers?
I know I may be compromising the integrity of the helmet a little, but has anybody done this?

I made some adjustments to the speaker cut outs on my Schuberth Concept,I just used a soldering iron to melt the polystyrene a bit.

If you got the money then its best to use 'in-monitors' with a Autocom or StarCom unit. Add a 2091 harness to the the logic system or Advance and you have IMHO the best intercom system you can get. But its costly i would say if you do it yourself your looking about £195 for the intercom and Say £180 for a set of custom moulded ear plugs from Ultimate Ear! Connect it all up to a Garmin 550 or 660 and use thier MP3 plyers to listern to all your tracks, answer your phone etc etc. Scala on the blue tooth side are cheap but you pay your money and gets what you get! The SRC is better but i dont think either come close to an Autocom. :thumb2
