what do people think? are these any good? i know twinmax and carbtune arent quite as accurate as a diy manometer, so would this do better? would need to step up from the 4mm ID tubes to 5mm for takeoffs i imagine, but this should be easy with the right bits....

anyone with experience of these units do chip in:)

yes i know diy is easy but my g/f is at the end of her tether with bits of bike and oil all over the house-an oily precarious manometer will be enough to consign our relationship to history:augie

alternatively, what about this:

If she's that close to bailing I'd go ahead and make one. And take my heads, barrels & pistons off and put them in the dishwasher. :thumb2

does that manometer take two readings at once?

seems to have two ports, but can't see any other evidence that it can

the current carbtune, with the stainless rods, may not be the most accurate balancing tool in the world, but it's very much accurate enough, very robust, and the one that i would recommend.

i couldn't recommend the twinmax at all really. i do own one, bought it out of curiosity. hard to believe just how fecking hopeless it is really.

i think it's french, which probably explains it :P

no i think it would give you by default just the one reading which is the difference in pressure between the two throttle intakes, tho' im sure you'd be able to access readings for each somehow, as it would have to take these.

......and after that glowing reccommendation, cookie, would you like to sell your twinmax to a fellow tosser who's had to balance his throttles this very day(and very badly, no doubt) by judging "when the windscreen stops vibating so much"?! how about £30 plus postage? :augie
