Altitude/elevation displaying on 2610

Just wondering if any of you boffins know if its possible to have altitude displayed on the MAP page of the 2610

Just out of interest really, ... for the passes in europe.

Tab setup - press menu button and then there's the options of customising the routing and mapping tab setup. I can't remember exactly but there's a number of selections that will allow the GPS altitude to be displayed.

If you can't work it out / no one else comes up with a better answer I'll have a look at mine later.

On the normal Map Page,

Press Menu
Press Tab Setup
Press Menu again
Press Custom Setup
Select Tab 1 2 3 or 4
Select Elevation in metres or feet (feet is higher)
Select which Tab display you require
Go to fridge, get a cold beer and consider what a good job you have just done!!!!!

Not only that, but you go down hill a lot faster if it's in feet.

So is the elevation thing any good then? Mine will take me from 150ft up to 50ft below sea level all while I'm sat stationary (in the car - never looked at that bit on the bike). Or am I just parking on seismically active bits of tarmac?
