Evening everyone,

Having fitted alt riders crash bars (which I found easy to install and really look OEM) I've been wondering about their luggage plate - specifically the one that sits behind the pillion seat.

I currently use a Kriega US20 for weekends away, but I'm travelling a bit further this summer so was debating purchasing another US20 and a US30 to give me 70ltrs of capacity. Currently the mounting straps are fed and tied off in the two slots either side of the bike that the vario panniers mount on, but I've always viewed this as temporary as they don't quite line up with the buckles on the Kriega. Has anyone used one of the Altrider plates? Are the edges just as razor sharp as the CNC cut plates for the crash bars? My concern sits with fabric straps on the luggage plate.

Slightly rambling I know, but any advice would be appreciated. I also don't want to go down the hard luggage route as yet. Thats way out of my league.

Cheers

I have a set of these from SW Motech - really need altered to bring the bags closer to the seat, planning to alter as per the angled lines.

Hi Ozz

Are you planning to stack / tie the three Kriega pieces on top of each other on ä rack on the back of the bike? I do not think I will be able to swing my leg over the bike (to mount it) with something stacked that high on it, even if it is placed behind the pillion seat.

I am looking at the Kriega Overlander 60 set, but have not yet made up my mind.
