Alu Pannier query

Hi all
Not sure if this is proper to here, or to Equipment & Mods.......anyway, I procured a BMW aluminium top box for my 1150Adv and want, if possible, to code the lock to my ignition key.

I've completed a search and had a read of this thread and the referred pBase arcticle, but am unsure if this also applies to my top box, or just to the plastic system panniers/box. I can see that the key that came with the box is essentially the same as the ignition key, so I think I should be all right...........but if I can avoid getting halfway thru it only to find that there's a problem....that wouold be ideal!

If anyone can confirm that I can use the above instructions, I'd be grateful

these locks are easily recoded once you get the original barrel out, drop me a pm and I will try to explain how I did mine.
