It has just been sandblasted as he has had his wishbone and rearframe sandblasted and powder coated in the last week.

Waiting to see what how they have turned out as mine will be getting the same treatment in the next week or so

Looks a bit industrial to me. The blaster at work used to leave a finer finish than that.

its all down to grit size.

Is it a cast carrier? if so, and depending on the type of blast grit used. (Vern
this ones for you) but i would think it could be a reeeet barstuard to weld.

This may not be the structural answer, however cosmetically, hows about body filler and a respray. (probably need plenty of high build primer to smooth out some of the craters) Just thinking out of the box

Chuck it in the post if you want me to have a stab at it.Some die cast stuff welds and some doesn't.
