Am I still a newbie after 3 weeks?? Headlight issue.. Help!

hi there. I just bought a R1200GS LC from a UK dealer 3 weeks ago. It's an April 2014 bike with 1200 miles. I have noticed these marks on the inside of the lense. They look like detergent marks on the inside. Is there a way take the lense off to clean it.?Returning to the dealer is not an option as I bought it from Vines in Guildford (London) and I'm in Northern Ireland..... I had my first full day on it yesterday and I love it!! You can only see the marks in the light when the dip light is on. Ta.

Isn't the warranty valid internationally?

The bike is still under BMW warranty and there should be no problems getting it sorted. The dealer I use in Dublin has no problem sorting bikes bought in UK. I know because they did my GSA. Duffys JJH

Mine has some scratches from the previous owners lack of care and I was gobsmacked that BMW don't sell that part as an individual piece from the headlamp unit.

I had it in Charles Hurst Motorrad last Thursday. They have sent a report into BMW under warranty. So just waiting for BM's reply.... Fingers crossed.

Do get a headlight protector. One stone can be very expensive.
