An idiots guide to an aftermarket exhaust required

I kept the original end can, but changed the headers to Akra s/s decatted headers, I also have the AF-Xied fited so I can adjust the AFR mix to suit. Before, with the bike fitted with the factory headers and end can I ran the bike on setting 7, now with the catless Akro headers I run it at setting 8, to give it a bit more fuel, and the bike runs great through the rev range.

The bikes a 2015 GS.

I’m a tart... I fitted a Remus Black Hawk to my 1250GS as I think it looks far better than the standard can. It is also slightly lighter (not weighed, just me picking it up).
I don’t care if it gives me more power as the 1250gs is fine in that respect as I’m not a racer on the road (I’m 5& and no longer think I have anything to prove as I’ve been riding over 30 years). Can is not overly noisy as I don’t like LOUD exhausts.
Can was bought second hand on this very site, and I think I got a decent deal as it looks great IMHO.

It’s your bike, do what you want with it, and don’t give a feck about other people’s opinions (after all, as they say; opinions are like assholes, everyone has one)

Ride safe

Lets be honest..Probably all the farkles we fit are not necessary :D I am trying to think of one i really needed :nenau

Wash your mouth out, they are all necessary. :rob

Forget performance.

Forget weight saving.

Go for the one you like the look /sound of.

Get second hand, run for life of bike, sell on for cost minus say 100 quid.

Result all round
