Anakee 3 wanted urgently for holiday HELP?

I can't imagine why a specific make / model of rode tyre is essential for a road trip? What am I missing? What's the fuss?

Michelin clearly have problems. I have just ended up with Conti Trail Attacks to replace my Anakee 3s, which are apparnetly as common as rocking horse muck right now. Having been quite happy with the Conits on my previous GS, I wasn't worried about making the change, but it did mean that I have replaced the front a bit sooner than really necessary.

Just buy any old road tyre and lob it on.

Want a matching pair? Buy any old matching pair and lob them on.

Going away on holiday on 11 June? Don't leave it until the end of May, with it's late May bank holiday, to start looking for road tyres for the awesome steed.... You have had several months to arrive at this point, I guess?

Imagine what you would have done en-vacance, had you encountered the puncture from hell and Monsieur Le Pneu had not got a matching one. Would you have stayed forever, marooned miles from home?

Above all, don't bleat, moan, complain and bitch like a schoolgirl.... Unless you are short and / or ginger; in which case life really has dealt you a duff hand.

These Guys seem fast

Sat looking a newly delivered pilot road 4 trail for my LC ordered on the 23rd May.

ordered a matching rear (gone for the GT version got some serious Europe miles to do) at the same time and just had a text message saying will be delivered on 28th.

seems good so far :clap

Do not recall moaning or bitching just asking nicely for some constructive help. Anybody would expect to get hold of new tyres a month before departing.
