My eldest is doing her Ancestry tree and has got stuck, can

you help, Sarah has gone back to her great,great grandad Jim Ancliff Born

abt 1860 in Edinston Nottinghamshire,Coal miner and was married to Mary M born 1864 wolverhampton.

They had children Mark brn Hilton,1890 who is My grndad,married Nellie Toms of Hampshire and Jim brn 1889,and married an Emily.

North London really, Enfield. Cambridge road, born and bread, untill I was 21.
I did have a Ford Escort though.LOL

Hi Bill, got curious and took a look at this but couldn't find 'Edinston' as a place and not being local I can't work it out.
Second problem is if Jim (James?) was born in 1860 he didn't marry Mary M in 1864.

This free DBM data base is VERY usefull in finding missing family links http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl Just a tad quirky to use at times

Martin that's great, my Sarah has just gone, so will pass it on to her in a while,I will email her the link, I must say she has had a good week end, loads of info for both sides of my family, no one famous yet, lol.
My dads side goes back to 1642.
