And the next adventure for the buggered old geezer and carer!

I'm being cruel.
Lumo operate an open access service to Kings X from Edi, Newcastle, Morpeth, and I think, Hull...wherever that is.
Its a single class, cram em in sort of thing.
It does exactly what it says on the tin, and gets lots of folk on the train up and down, speedily and cheaply...there is only one standard class. Not much room for luggage without heaving bags up onto the overhead racks....luckily I have a ninjawife to do that sort of heavy lifting.
Cant get much of a view if the seats don't line up with the windows, but a shot of Tweed from the Royal Border Bridge at Berwick...1000003666.jpg1000003669.jpg1000003668.jpg

All the bad weather up herehas damaged the track apparently, so our train is going via a different route, missing out Stirling, Geneagles and such.
Luckily this means going over the magnificent Forth Rail bridge and up the Fife coast..

Sounds like the Ryanair of trains, good idea.
Hopefully you'll be sitting at home, dram in hand, before too long

Gerrard I’m exhausted and I’m still stuck in Kent.

Great having you back after your travels, thanks for report and photos - trust all is well when you get home and dry.
