Definitely enjoying this bike, manual version, tri colour.
It replaces a '13 plate Rally Raid 690 Enduro R which was a very efficient tool for piste bashing and general overland travel, in fact streets (or deserts if you wish) ahead of anything.
The AT is a much more road orientated and comfortable ride, being a twin it is much smoother, also the gear ratios have a better spread and the power band is wider too, the KTM could be a bit manic if you inadvertently gave it too much right hand. Very nice fuelling too, the KTM could be a bit of a pogo stick at slow speeds. On other forums much is being made of the cheap appearance of the switch gear, footrests and the price.....its too low for such a package is what I think they are saying ! I think they feel threatened, I have a foot in both camps so I can say that with equanimity.
Today, riding in blue skies and 15 deg the N W Highlands takes a lot of beating.

I would put money on the price increasing within the next 6mths or so. It is slightly cheaper than was anticipated and the bike is a sales success. I imagine Honda UK would be thinking that they won't sell any less if they put the price up by £500.
