My bike is now approaching its third birthday, and having considered and dismissed chopping it in for a new GSA on a PCP, I'm going to treat it to Titanium Akra headers & Gear Shift Pro but leave the standard can on.

However, one question. Will I have to swap the exhaust back once a year for the M.O.T?

AFAIK bikes are not emissions tested so i dont think you will have to swap back

I could be wrong

No. Akras are also e-marked for compliance.

Thinking of the same as cost to change was £8000 !! be interested to hear how this goes

Me too, similar quote, shop around tho if your interested in changing..

But I looked at my bike & thought I would buy the same one again..

My Gs Lc was 3 years old in October, I fitted a Bmw Akrapovic end can 2 years ago, no problem at all with the MOT test..

Just luv the burble of the can, not too loud for me..

Well the GSAP has been ordered and will be fitted next Friday. Still shopping around for a ti header set. eBay looks promising.

Just to close this thread off. Before I stump up for an akrapovic ti header, I take it that the OE exhaust can fits to the new headers?

In case anyone might be interested, I have just fitted a new Akrapovic end can to my 2014 GSA LC. It is, I'm informed, a 2017 manufactured can and does not have removeable baffles.

It sounds great, just exactly the right decibels for me (I use foam earplugs) and it does actually have a noticeable effect, the pick up is cleaner and the motor seems to rev easier.

This is in stark contrast to the Akra can I fiited to my last twincam GSA - it did nothing to enhance performance- it was just noisier. As I recall, when I changed the cans over again it ran better on the standard can.

I'm delighted with the LC Akra though.
