I'm looking for the collected wisdom on which boots are best for 'fat feet'.

They've been described by a podiatrist as 'large volume feet' - i.e. very wide, with a very high instep, but not 'long' :o

Most boots seem to be designed for people with long skinny feet - it seems like motocross boots are possibly an exception, but these are a bit 'clunky for the road.

I pretty much ride exclusively on the road, so I'm looking for the collected wisdom on road boots for 'wide feet' :mmmm

Cheers.

I see you're in York part time so yuor best bet is to go up to Altberg in Richmond where they will measure your feet and make boots just right for you. It may take a couple of fitting visits in between but you should end up with the perfect boot. http://www.altberg.co.uk/

Daytona boots come up fairly roomy and have a lot of adjustment in them. Wide range of style too and the most comfortable bike boots I've ever ridden in :thumb2

Unfortunately I don't get back to the UK very often these days and, when I do, I'm only back for a week or so at a time - I'd love to go up there - not far from Masham and the Black Sheep Brewery! :D

The Hein Gericke Tourag Goretex boot are very wide fitting.
Also comfortable and Very waterproof.
