Another cracking 1200GS Watercooled Adventure review......

Bike magazine's review said that if you don't intend to cross continents (thus perhaps valuing the extra fuel capacity) it's not worth bothering with over the vanilla alternative.

Who's to say they ain't right?

They say the handling isn't as good as the standard GS :D

Lots of fuel is fine but unless all your mates have a GSA you end up stopping when the one with the smallest tank range needs to fill up, generally about 150 miles on sports bikes.

You end up carrying all the extra weight for no benefit. I have no desire to sit on a bike non stop for 7 or 8 hours, even when we travel to Europe , and don't know anyone apart from some trans world explorers that actually do. Cup of coffee and stretch the legs after 3 or 4 hours is more my style

The Charley and Ewan wannabees?

What do I win?

I agree it wont be, its the difference between handling a fat bird or a fit bird, we all know the fit bird is more nimble and flexible

:D nimble and flexible wins everyday in my book.
