Everywhere and nowhere baby!
Not right at the top of France, a bit further south (South Normandy??) but lovely part of France, far nicer than the top part IMO. This time in the car but bikeable too, I thought I'd let others know about a very nice B&B we stayed in last night, Moulin de Sévoux, 61290 Longny les Villages, France. Excellent for en route to Le Mans.

A Belgian couple, Luc and Annick (in their 50's / early 60's), were our hosts, the food was astonishingly good, guinea foul with coconut rice and wild mushrooms for the mains, starters were superb, as was pudding.

The rooms are absolutely superb, warm, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. I think there are 4 rooms in total.

A bit off the beaten track but a great selection of beers and wines to go at. The roads in the area are perfect for riding or driving, loads to see, small towns and villages to stop for a coffee.

He drives a Porsche, so any other porkers on here will get on very well.

Hope it's of interest, feel free to share more widely on UKGSer, the Porche section or any other.

Now further south, staying at the B&B I posted about a couple of months ago, also superb: Roberto and Tania at Gîte Et Chambres D'hôtes, 5 lieu-dit Le Chêne Billault, Pouant

He's a 1200 GSA owner/rider and can often take others for a bit of a tour. Also good food and very convivial hosts.

Give Paul Benjamin a call. 90’ish minutes SW of Caen they have Le Bas Chesnay just outside Domfront en Prairie

I have this cracking route that starts/ends not too far from this B&B at a Sherman tank and goes to the West of Laval, then into Rennes (The run into Rennes isn't terribly exciting). Gloriously empty roads which encourage progressive riding. Great tea stop in the small main square in Gorron. Full of locals.
