Another Motoradd Tour guide borrowed from somewhere.

Linky not worky, at least not on an iPad. Here's how to get there:

The magazine's home page: http://www.road-concept.eu/index.html

Click on guides: http://www.road-concept.eu/guides.html

Click on the individual guides, one by one. Here's the first: http://www.road-concept.eu/otg-bruegges-loui

This will download the PDF, with the hotel's maps etc. Save in iBook or whatever. Repeat guide by guide, it doesn't take long. I have a separate section set up in iBooks, just for things like this; useful if I ever want to go to the Eifel or wherever.

---------

If you click on the Touren link, you'll get to: http://www.road-concept.eu/tourenkarten

Where you can download some map cards that seem to condense the various routes together.

Or you can click on: http://www.road-concept.eu/powerkarten where you can buy lots of maps, area by area. At euro 19 a box set for each area, they are probably decent value for laminated maps at a 1:250000 scale, which is a reasonable size. For a few quid and a bit of time you could kit yourself out for a decent self-planned holiday, for sure.

I don't speak a word of German but can say that that the magazine does do some quite good maps, guides, ideas and pictures. You can work your way through it with a bit of inspired guesswork and imagination. Do you have to use the hotels and roads? Of course not, just use them as a base document. Want something else? Enter the area you want to go to into Google, for instance: 'Taunus Germany hotels motorbike' will bring up loads of sites to surf around. Yes, it takes a bit of time but what else are you doing during the winter or to plan your own holiday?

Have fun.

Excellent resource - thank you for sharing. Very handy - I will be practising my German with this!

I got there on an iPad by looking at your link that didn't work on an IPad, by Googling road concept motorbike or summat like that. Google found the site and away I went.

Thanks for the heads up to the site. Always good to have somewhere to look at for inspiration.

I wonder if they have taken over the publishing rights to the maps from Motorrad magazine, who I thinker stopped publishing them a while back?

Good heads up about Louis.de too. I have used them in the past with some success.

Richard
