New desk top required..just the tower...doesn't need to be mega powerful, just internet/documents/homework type stuff.

Simply can't be bothered with trailing through all the magazines/forums etc.....

What do I buy?......Please....

Microsoft will continue to support XP until at least April 2014. If you don't mind having a second user machine and have the CD and knowledge to install windows XP this looks like a good deal at £140.

Lenovo used to be IBM's desktop and laptop business so this machine will be very solidly built and reliable.

You can pay £17 extra to have XP pre-installed.

I have never heard of Zoostorm, so if you want a brand name machine go for Compaq at £280

All of these machines will be fine for your intended use, but not up to modern games.
