Another Newbie

Hi, new to the site and BMW's but after a test ride for a couple of hours on a 1150 gs i'm well impressed.

Unfortunately i'm not in a position to buy new, but was thinking about the 2002 gs model and from what i can gather reading on this site without servo assisted abs. Is there any other things i should be looking for when buying one second hand.

Just buy the best one your budget will allow, then ride the bugger like you stole it.

After 20 years on Jap bikes I bought my 01 1150GS at Christmas and am enjoying my biking more than ever.

Welcome to the fold. Make sure the bike you buy is free of corrosion, I have seen some really neglected horrors for sale. Don't be afraid of mileage so long as it has FSH, the bikes are designed to go around the world after all. Good luck with the search.
