antivibe bars

I saw them at the dirt bike show a few years back.

They looked a bit to much of a gimmick. They also looked heavy to, and not the best made bars i've ever seen.

not sure how much vibration they remove, as they only move in one direction.

Pinkytiff was running thick foam grips on a recent trip, and these felt very comfortable compared to standard mx offerings. Possibly worth a look first before you part with your hard earned.

Grip puppies, have made my x country better for my u/s hands.
Not that the vibes really bother me on the bike.

Another option

I deal with the vibe/hands problem using a throttle lock from Wunderlich. Allows me to remove my hand from the throttle anytime without slowing down. Much cheaper than buying these special bars and fits nicely with Barkbusters.

Yesterday on the motorway i was being blown all over the place on the x moto so handsfree would'nt really work for me.

I'm looking for something to take the vibrations out of the mirrors has they are just a blur and not much use.

looks like a cool device, does it click into position and then release when you push the throttle forward?

Vibes and Cruise control.

Another one here for Grip Puppies. I also use one of the Cruise Assist plastic levers which allows you to release the grip on the throttle for a time and just rest your hand on the lever and flex your fingers. These are a big help on motorways.

I find these levers can sometimes slip on the throttle and get out of position, so I drill 4 holes and use a thin cable tie to clamp them in place. Used one on my recent trip to Turkey(on the R1200GS) and it never moved in 6,000 miles.

No, these are friction only devices that screw up to create the friction. They do not click off. After a little practice, I don't find this an issue at all. I normally keep my throttle with friction on it all the time so I can take my hand off at any time.

As for vibrations in the mirrors, the only solution that is going to solve that fully is to go to a 4 cylinder bike....and even then not always:eek:
