Took a 2017 GSA out at the weekend. Along the route of 30 miles or so, the bike without any discernible frequency, felt like the rear wheel had gone over sizeable stone - a sort of jolt was the experience. At first I thought I’d missed an object on the road surface. Then after the third time I realised there was something going on. In all the bike must have done this about a dozen times. The road type was an A road in good condition.

As an aside, on changing down gear and during clutch release, there was a notable vibration low down on the clutch lever side of the bike.

Dunno if they are connected, anyone know what this would’ve been.

And you've had it checked by the dealer or not bothered about it to even ask :nenau

Not bothered to ask. Or more accurately I've never remembered to raise it when in contact. That's not true, I did raise the matter of the awful vibration at the first service of the replacement engine and got the "they all do that" response.

My late 2016 started doing that not long before it went back.
Dealer wasn't bothered as it went abroad but commented that it was suspension/driveline related and common

Common. Who’s the dealer? For me I thought it was drive related mainly because of the weird vibration on clutch release. But equally I suppose it could be suspension. Apart from the vibes I’ve just referred to, the bike was nice and smooth and smoother than the 1250 I took out a couple of weeks earlier.
