I use Corel Draw 8 at the moment for producing odd bits of artwork for work, I happy (ish) with the package, my main issue with it being its inability to open CD12 files and visa versa.
So I'm thinking CD12 is £200ish nowadays so I might as well upgrade, looking into it it appears that things have moved on again with Corel Draw X1 - X4 being available for more money.
Has anybody here used X4?
Is X4 going to talk to CD12 or am I just going to suffer the same incompatability I get between CD8 & CD12?
Does anybody else care?

PS If I run CD8, and leave the program open and work on something else eventually my PC siezes up as if there is some kind of Auto backup running in
Corel Draw, is that normal?
