I'm afraid that I would not be able to get out of the harbour without throwing up. So as much as I like a challenge, I'd have to give this a miss. Thank you!:thumb2

I'd be up for that but don't have boat rods so I'd need to rent or do the boats have rods etc. as part of the deal?

Any Fisher MEN!!!

Don't get me started on my braided line, carbon rod and selection of lucky toby's....:aidan

depends where your planning on going I guess but there are boats sailing from North Berwick and Dunbar that you can charter and everything is supplied.

Havn't done that since I were a nipper.
I'd love it. Count me in.

I assume there would be some :jager on board :pirate

So we could mek a night of it.

been looking about a bit and there is a boat called the gannet that leaves from Oban and does an all inclusive package all tackle bait etc even hot refreshments (i don't know how to do a link to this charters site maybe garfield could help out here :D ) ,, a six hour trip costs £450 and will take 10 passengers making it a pretty reasonable £45 per person obviously we would need 10 firm yes's to make it viable ,,as for an itinerary i was thinking along the lines of boarding around lunch time on the Saturday returning early evening in time for a meal and drinks this would give most people time enough to get to Oban on the Saturday ,,if there is enough interest i would look into getting us all into the one hotel for the Saturday night ,,,as for a date it would suit me around the end of April but i am flexible and open to suggestions on this,,,,,,,,so there we have it if you would like to go on this trip please post a firm yes on this thread just in the event there are more than ten tossers wishing to go it will be the first ten on the thread ...

ps steve.o yes open to anyone :thumb2 if you are thinking of travelling up on the fri im sure i could organise accommodation for you in Dumbarton for Friday night then its just a short trip and some great roads from here to oban....cheers gord
