Any know how to get my Windows 7 Code

My laptop is now a little old and as it was doing odd things, I re-installed windows 7. With the disc I got with the laptop when I bought it.

Anyway, it asks for the activation code, which is on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop. Well the sticker is still there, but all the details have rubbed off. Anyway got any ideas how I could get this code?

You can activate Windows by telephone option - using the freephone number it shows - key in (on the phone) a long series of characters it lists, and key in (on the Activate screen) the response characters it tells you.

None of the product key finders will work if you ha e already reinstalled. They would ha e though if you had done it before you reinstalled though.
I would try and speak to Microsoft as In a person. It will be an OEM licence so they might be willing to help. If not you could be stuffed.

He would have needed to do that before he re-installed Windows. Does nobody bother to read the OP any more?? Two wildly inaccurate guesses so far...

Dozens if not hundreds of W7 activator hacks out there, usually via a torrent site ( so pick a good one and make sure your AV stuff is up to date first)

The legality is dubious, but as it's a genuine disk, it's probably perfectly legal to use one of them

If you can't find one, post up and I'm sure someone may have one they can email to you
