Any local weather optimists out there

Hi there

Travelling up to Scotland, Fort William, early Monday morning, then on to Applecross & Ullapool over the next few days.
Been on the BBC website for any cheer with regards to the weather, not very encouraging .
Was wondering if there are any locals out there that can give me any positive news with regards to local weather.

A wee piece of advice...don't ever come to Scotland for the weather!!
Long range forecasts are always wrong, so don't worry, I'm sure it'll be a bit better than what's happening darn saff!!

She's right - the only thing we can guarantee is that there will be weather. It usually changes in 5 minutes though so if you don't like it another front will be along in a minute or 20.
Ignore the forecasts and just go - many places get micro cllimates. At least the midges have pretty much fecked aff by now

you can see four seasons in one day by me normally, it's worse in the west....just enjoy it, if you didn't go out because of the weather here, you never would.....

I am back for a wee trip in 11 days. Just booked a B&B in Oonyackistan for the first night. After many trips to the West, I have one word of advice....
