Anybody else having problems buying brake shoes from BMW?

I ordered a set of genuine brake shoes for my project GS five weeks ago. Pidcocks have been great with keeping me informed and are as frustrated as I am. Apparently they are being made to order

Brake shoes as in for a rear drum? And a dealer can't supply? Marvellous.
Why go to the dealer?
