Well there isnt an 800 section so the best place to ask is here.

I fancy a new GS to replace the written off 1200, but just to chose the same model is boring. So has anybody got any firm info about an 800GS? Will there be one or not?

Bin told that it's in the 2008 model year line up :( so will probably be 'anounced' later this year. NEC, Intermot etc.

I'm waiting... :)

Got an F800ST (as well as my faithful F650GS) and it's a cracker of a motor. I reckon BMW could bring an 800GS out today if they wanted, but d'ya know what....

... It'd kill the sales of the 1200GS dead
Two up long distance touring notwithstanding!

The 800ST is easier to manhandle, and feels lighter, than my 650GS. But it's got as much power as the 1150's :D :D

Can't wait to get it round der Nürburgring in May :rob

Sod the 800GS, only girls who can't deal with the might of a full sized bike will buy that particular model :eyebrow.....

What I want to know about is the 800 derived HP1.........now that will be the mutt's nuts if they get it right :thumb

Rumours.. Rumours.. everywhere..

I was speaking to a BMW bod at Cannons when they opened their new shop, and he said that an 800GS was a long way off, or at least until BMW re-design the final drive.. (belt not good for off road..)

So we'll see.

Errm how can a TWIN be a HP1 ??? That was always mooted by BMW as a High Performance Single.

Actually the lardy 800 twins will actually be a lot heavier than a 650 once the alloy wheels are lost and a more durable heavier frame fitted.

I think the G range is where the HP1 will emerge from.
