hi all
im new to fuel injected bikes so was wondering if theres any benefit to visiting my local dyno man....
ive had many bandits and hes always managed to squeeze a bit more out of them.
i spoke to him about injected bikes ages ago and at the time he was doing a modern bike...
he was telling me that he can tune your bike to however you want it...
eg...if you spend a lot of time on motorways and want best economy at that speed he can do it...or if your not interested in economy he can give you more beans.....
has anybody here tried it......
i had a dullville 650 a while back and asked on a forum about getting it dynoed for more power but go seriously slated for even asking.....im thick skinned so have your say.....
cheers all...

Yes;

They run so lean I'm surprised they still have exhaust valves !

Getting it set up properly, may give you more power but will make it smoother and nicer to ride.

Depending upon where you are; Hilltop are the best known dyno for getting the most out of your hex.

Also consider, decatted headers THEN an end can. Standard airfilter replaced every 6 month's, unless you own shares in K&N they won't do anything performance wise.

A good hexhead can make around 105 at the back wheel.

My '06 1200GS was healthier than plenty of sportier units when we took some random things (GS/Caponord/Cagiva) along to a dyno-day, but the dyno operator said it had plenty more potential as the feeling was far from optimum with a de-cat centre pipe and fairly open can.

My brother's 2010 GSA goes really well after a day at Hilltop; smooth, responsive and fit.:thumb2

In answer to your question....yes...many have and with outstanding results....search "hilltop" a garage near Leicester about an hour up the road from you...cost £350 ish and about 2 hours to transform your bike into what it should be. A few (me included) have gone a different route using AF XIED units which alter the AFR for good...order from Nightrider in the US for about the same cost....much smoother, punchier and cooler running bike...check our the thread in Mods.

Having had two twin cams and a remap by hilltop and the AF units, both will transform the bike to good effect.

Cheers

i just got a message from my local dyno man and he says he can remap mine but only if its got a power commander fitted...
so does that mean its the pm that he programs and not the ecu.....confused....
