Just wondering if anybody has an autocom air and could answer a few questions for me? I currently have a wired autocom system for me and the wife with the bluetooth module so we can listen to music. If we then want to talk you just talk, the music volume drops while talking and then comes up when finished. no need to press buttons or anything else and its great but does the air system work in the same handsfree way with the capability of adding other riders into the conversation for group chats?
Many thanks

The Autocom help line is manned if you ring the main number and the guy there is very knowledgeable.

I don't think the Air system has much in the way of range, so you should certainly check if you can include other riders.

If you are used to Autocom, then you will used to having sidetone (hearing what you are saying). My very expensive Cardo Packtalk does not have it and I really miss it (I'm an old fuddy-duddy) when talking to a pillion because I am not absolutely 100% certain that I have opened the mike and the passenger has heard me. I also use in-ear monitor speakers, so even with a BT-headset I am never completely wireless.

So I use a wired Autocom system with a pillion and Bluetooth headset when I'm on my own. If you do plump for BT, then go with a system with "mesh functionality" that is the same brand as the folk you will be riding with. Folk using a fitted, integral BT system with an optional handlebar remote seem to be extremely happy with their set-up.

If I'm riding in a larger group and need to take a break because my concentration is fading, then I just stop and have a few words with the TEC.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks for the info- Ill try and give them a ring this week. I too like to know that the pillion can hear me as she does have a habit of ignoring me! I really like the autocom and the way it works but occasionally it could be handy to talk to other riders in the group and be wireless.
