Hi all,

just wanted to share with you people, im happily cruising along on my beloved 650.

I have it since july '08, have done 36K kms and undergone the "recalls" like the one about the radiator top hose, and the latest was the faulty petrol level sensor.

Am about to put on my third set of Battlewings, first set lasted 19K+, second set is almost at 17K.

Still on the first chain/sprocket. Save for the first few thousand kms, always used Profi Dry Lube.

Happy riding to you all :)
and take care
Gert

My wifes bike, 9000 miles, no problems or faults, all the recalls have been done just in case.
Original chain, not needed adjusting in the last 3000m. New tyres fitted at 6000m, front & rear pads at the same time. So happy with it I have bought my own F800GS. 1000m in 10 days no problems to report.

Not a 650, but I have the 800. No real problems so far, I think I bought mine just after the recall for the top hose (Jan 2009), so no problem there. Still on the first set of battlewings, but looking at something else now after around 8500 miles. Still same chain and sprockets !

Only problem is that valve/rocket gasket leak which will hopefully be fixed tomorrow. I have heard a few guys have this problem (oil visible on the left of the engine block). Light bulb replaced, bike stalled twice at the very beginning, but never again since ... so I am very happy with it !! :thumb

Now at 2700 miles, remap cured the cutting out, recalls done, everything now great, touch wood!

Yep, I have the 650 GS and I don't like to tempt fate but so far so good. I love it! It had it's first year service in May when it had the radiator hose done - not had any probs with the original though - and all is well. Fingers crossed :) :)
