Going up to Orkney in April with a couple of lads - one of whom is coming from New Zealand to ride with us.

There's currently a 500cc Royal Enfield available for him to ride which we had out last week and that is definitely going to be hard work as we're on 1150/1200's!

I went to look at this 2010 GS650 (800) today which has 16,000 on the clock...very nice it was too!

Chap wouldn't let me test-ride it as it's on a SORN and he was concerned about insurance.

Seems to have spent it's life in the Yorkshire area with MOT'S at differing stations.

One of the tests had an advisory for bent handlebars and these 'may' have been replaced with red ones...not original spec I'm told.

Just a couple of things leaving questions...6 x previous owners, missed/very early MOT'S...allowing for Covid as well.

Reg No. is FT10 WSE.

TIA

Whilst I have no knowldge of this particular bike, it's this one on Gumtree ......... https://www.gumtree.com/p/bmw-motorbikes/bmw-f650-2010-798-cc-/1499485677

It looks pretty tidy. You can check for any common foibles using the 'Bikes' section. They are very economical, feel light & nippy & generally handle well. Downsides are few - not ideal for sustained high speed or 2-up, but they cope; a tad under-braked up front (cured with the 700) & the stock screen is stupidly small, so the touring screen is an essential.
