Anyone going to BMW Motorrad Days this year?

I've decided last minute to go, leaving the bike in Romania and flying in to Munich.
Any takers on sharing accom or a car?

Bmw hold an extravaganza every year at Garmisch in July. I think its first event started about 15 years ago? I have been twice before and am going again this year. Nice location and good destination to ride to

Hopefully I'll be in Munich b4 the weekend of the meet up in Garmish as want to visit the BMW world centre, been before & a great few hours looking round the exhibition hopefully see the stunt riders doing their bit..

I wasn't planning on going as I'm heading in to Romania this weekend, but flights to Munich were super cheap so thought why not. Shame I can't take The White Rabbit.
Will make for a great vlog episode though.

Hi Nutty, glad you like the channel. It's going well, leaving Budapest today for a short ride east to the boarder. Had some GoPro issues but tested it this morning and it works.

@Gordyman - I'll be roaming around with my camera, so if you spot a handsome fellow with a beard, ask him if he's seen me and maybe we can share a beer

BMW Welt is somthing else. Pretty amazing place,

We were visiting one evening and some bods were taking pictures of some prototype cars outside, so we naturally joined in ....

They came over and asked us not to take pictures....... untill we pointed out, they wernt BMW cars, and we were on the pavement

They just smiled and left ...

The BMW museum is good too, but thats invite only

It was heaps of fun and I'm so glad I went. I think for those who haven't been, make sure you take a long weekend and make a ride of it.
Book local hotels waaaaay in advance if you don't fancy camping (but I think it's fun) and in short be ready to drink a lot and see some awesome bikes.

Pros:
- it's free
- facilities are kept to a very high standard
- food and drink, although expensive, is very good
- camping is well organised and easy
- location is stunning
- if you do want to fly in, Munich is only 1.5hrs away by car

Considerations:
- can't see why people wanna test ride bikes there - it has to be the worst environment possible
- the weather dictates a lot of what you can do as there isn't much shelter - prepare to be very hot or very wet - not much in between
- bring some of your own sustenance, prices are high for 3 days

All in all, a long weekend of biker tings - love it!

They will let you onto the campsite on the Thursday evening, however the wash and toilet facilities are not open until the Friday. I think it was €20 for the weekend camping last year.

The annual road trip by BMW motorrad is populated by knobs noticeable by their lack of having a conversation whilst trying hard not to brag too subtly about the money they like to spend. Did it once. Ignored the knobs and made some lasting friends.
