I know there are other things going on this weekend but by far the most important is the Tour Prologue in London on Saturday and the first stage through Kent on Sunday.

I am part of a large group in London on Saturday but they are all heading home.

I will stay on and watch the stage in Kent - anyone else planning to do the same ? Tips on a good place to head for?

I go to Belgium each year for the Classics and chase around seeing the races pass 3 or 4 times but looking at the Kent route and bearing in mind UK traffic I think it will be a case of getting to somewhere and sitting tight and waiting for them to come through.

Allez, allez, allez!

A stage of the TdF finishes in Tignes in the French Alps on 15th July and there is a rest day in the resort on the 16th (re-starting from Val d'Isere on 17th).

I have an appartment in Tignes if anyone is interested....

Watch it? chance would be a fine thing, I'm one of the escorting motorcyclists working with the French equivalent of our SEG (Special Escort Group). At least if I do not make a cock-up I should be able to see the finish.
