Has anyone got any contacts with any small charities specifically for the deaf or hard of hearing ? Please send me a PM with your phone number . I'd like to discuss something with you.

Just to be clear I am absolutely not trying to sell something here. This is an interesting opportunity for a deaf person to try something quite unique. Does anyone know any deaf/hard of hearing people out there ?
Oh ....and yes this is a blatant bounce to get the thread back up the list ;)

Blatant self promotion.

Burn him, he's a witch!

About as welcome as... etc

:D :D :D

Sorry Gecko I just couldn't resist.

A more serious answer:
I don't know any of the deaf people personally but I do work with the Cambridge Arts Theatre who run a deaf summer school I could put you in touch with them if the product you are most definitely not selling would be appropriate.

Geks, Louise is half deaf, wears two hearing aids. Been so since about 6. Perforated eardrums.
Suits me fine though .... cant hear me snoring, and I can speak behind her back.
Only downside is that my voicebox is wearing out early because ive got to repeat everything twice.

WHAT ?

Thanks for the E-mail.
PM'd you again.

You have just been offically promoted to Tosser category :P

Re Arts theatre - yes please that would be a very interesting link up for what I have in mind. I think they would be very interested.

Ok folks thanks for the feedback and various PM's . I'm going to close the thread now as I have some good leads from various people who I am now in contact with directly.
Much obliged to everyone who contacted me.

For what it's worth , when your hearing is damaged it is almost always irreversible. If you don't wear earplugs whilst riding a motorcycle one day you may be needing the services of one of the charities I have been trying to get in contact with. Think about it.....
