Had a spill in France over the weekend, seems mostly cosmetic except for the N/S pillion footpeg hanger snapped off.

I'm going to investigate the insurance route, however if it gets a real pain with excess/NCD I might just consider pay up & shut up. So any reliable recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

not quite the area your talking about but no far off, the best wellder I know is Buns Lane Welding, in Mill Hill.
Old fashioned scabby old workshop and a damn good welder.

where has it broken off from?

The break is quite clean, where the welds are still attached to the bracket and the area around the punched holes in the frame are also clean where the welds sheared. The main frame tube where the hanger attaches seems locally bent & slightly oval

I'd second the bunns lane man. Used him myself, a real old fashioned gent. :beerjug:

look out!!

If the part is still on the bike make sure the battery is disconnected before welding or THE RED TRIANGLE OF DEATH will get you.
