Probably in the office. Again.
I've got a new transmitter (the bike only came with one) for my alarm. I've also got directions for how to code the transmitter to the bike. The only problem is, stage 3 says "Join the two recode wires (bare and join or preferably use bridge)"

Even I can understand "join", but I've no idea what a bridge is in this context. I'll bet someone on here does though... :thumb

In all the electronics applications I have come across, its just a hard wire across two points. Think of a staple with each end stuck into the appropriate electronic joint.

Its what the Motronic uses for the cat code plug.

Easily made with ordinary fuse wire.

As above.

It`s usually called a 'jumper'......and is a small plastic piece which slips over vertical pins on a circuit board, the pins being labelled with letters or numbers, and the jumper will connect certain pins to configure the device.

Thanks gents. I'd suspected as much but didn't want to make a (bigger) arse of myself.

Now all I need to do is find the wires to 'bridge'. They're supposed to be 'obvious'. Ha ha ha ha ha ha - funny electrician's joke I'm guessing.
