Anyone Painted Their Vario Lids ??

Hi Folks

I'm considering painting the aluminium insert on the Vario lids matt black. Has anyone done this and has got some pics ?

If so how does the paint hold up to boots etc. when getting on and off the bike.

A better option would be to get a signmaker to cover or 'wrap' in matt black vinyl. It will mould into the shape of the panels nicely, ask for a 10yr cast vinyl as its the most hardwearing. This can then be removed when time to sell etc, or you decide to go back to original? I've thought about getting this done in a design, or photographic artwork etc
