Anyone tried the SW Motech headlight guard?

This looks quite a nice guard. Anyone got one?

Having said that, I can't help thinking that adding a guard gives 3 surfaces to clean instead of one, with two of them a pig to get to. I like to keep my headlight shiny shiny!

Probably, but any guard will cost a lot less than your insurance excess

It looks OK, but some of the bolts cover part of the DRL if you have the LED headlight.

I like this design and the fact it is not using the headlight unit clamping screw holes to fix the guard.

Yeah, isn't that just stupid..

I mean they have so much room to play with in that area and some twit comes up with that mounting option.

I was seriously looking at these, but that was a deal breaker. Ended up going with a Tourtech clear unit. I figure that when/ if it gets damaged I can just cut my own and re-use the mounting pins..

Nutty, if I had a GS, I'd be very tempted.

I have an offer of two new 2014's (grey and white) but I still haven't convinced myself to let my beloved K1300S go. Lots of sleepless nights this week trying to decide what to do.

At least if I go with the GS this coming week, I know where I can get a headlight protector!

Get the bike, you really won't regret it. Ignore the negativity on here, and just enjoy.

Grey is the one to go for; its faster!
