Hi again all

I already have a zumo on my 08 GSA and desperately need to fit an intercom system that i can use rider to pillion, bike to bike via pmr (not pmr 446 as too short range) and mobile phone plus radio / ipod would be a bonus.

As it's for business use I need the best system I can get rather than most affordable and wondered if any ukgser's have experience of sonic kit?

After obviously seeing seeing LWR and LWR the Sonic kit seems to give excellent audio and there seems to be so many questions on here about having to tweek Autocom kit or problems with interference etc I'm wondering if Sonic maybe better than Autocom?

Any informed comments would be gratefully received

Cheers,
Terry

Presumably, since this is for business use, you will go for a full factory install of any equipment you buy.
I always have a factory installation by Autocom when I change bikes, and have never had any problems with interference etc. I don't doubt that the same can be said for Sonic.
Also, with a factory install, you will have the opportunity to have cables made to connect your radio of choice to the Autocom system. I didn't realise why the installation took so long until a cable (not a PMR cable) failed some years later. I bought a replacement, and then found the the original has been specially extended to fit my machine.

I've spoken to many in the field serving police and paramedics and the sonic kit is woefully inadequate should you find yourself 'pressing on' whereas Autocom I've been able to travel at 'track speeds' and my Autocom has never let me down.

Sure fit is critical and if you were close enough to Warwick I'd have a factory fit by them as there are huge differences in performance when the kit is not fitted optimally.
