In my opinion that’s down to personal choice, I have at least four friends who use Garmin watches but with iPhones, they are all tri athletes. What are the better options and why, trying not to sound aggressive.

Yup I use a Garmin forunner with an iphone. The Garmin connect app is great. Incidentally I chose Garmin over apple ( despite being an Apple fanboy ) purely on battery life. 4 days on the Forunner versus one day on the “ then” Apple offering.

You’re not sounding aggressive at all. For all the use I get out of my Apple Watch I think it’s the best. For athletic enthusiasts a different type of watch may be more suitable. Mostly down to personal choice. I’m not an athlete by any means. It’s like a what oil question. You’re going to get a lot of answers. I have a 10. I also have a small 3 which I’m using at the moment. My 10 is broken. If I get it back soon I may sell the 3. JJH

I have an Ultra 2, it does everything I need, the battery lasts just over two days. I’m very pleased with it and rarely wear my expensive watches. I’d be more inclined to sell them than the Apple.

I gave my old watches away. Nothing very expensive but I couldn’t go away on holiday without buying a watch. No regrets. Apple all the way. Now if I actually had 4 friends I might be persuaded differently!!! JJH
