Hi Scrummager, sorry i hav'nt replied, just got back from few days away with the family. I,m taking the ferry to Santander, with a mate on a Speed Triple-not really a bike for touring- so we will be straight into the twisties from the ferry!

Judge, if you were at the Drovers on Sunday you were only about a mile from one of the Special Stages on the Red Kite Rally, just up to the viewing point and turn left to the memorial cairn - you could have followed the orange arrows marking the course all the way to the hot dog van

Just been 'well ok a few hours ago' told I'm needed at work late tomorrow 'Err today' v won't be finnishing till 7.30ish so we'll not be able to come over this month.
Jill was looking forward to riding the 650 over too never mind Ehh?

Well made it back in one piece despite the best endeavours of several hedgehogs playing chicken under my front wheel!
It was good to make it to a meeting at last and realise that there are some normal people out there, they were on a table on the other side of the pub

Thanks to the conversation about Whiskey (mine's Irish) I now have a little less than before the evening started....couldn't resist.

Finally apologies if anyone thought a copper had walked in, better than a contractor though I suppose (but only just).

update on jinksy.. hes home and felling batterd n bruised.. he has apparently chipped his collar bone..

i will visit him later today as hes still on the pain killers and needing rest ..

What an optimist but given the state of his bike I would have thought that his Camelback was the least of his worries.

Bit of excitement on the way home. A yellow rocket bike shot past us doing about 120mph with a Police traffic car in hot pursuit. No sign of the bike being pulled over in the next 8 mile stretch of dual carriageway though.

Pw' apologies for not making it, I had just sorted out the child care arrangements and then popped into NHH acc&emm regarding a red mark on my left shin which was 'burning' a bit, next thing I know I'm admmitted as an inpatient for 48hrs of intravenous antibiotics, let out at about 3pm this afternoon for good behaviour.
