Hi Dickieboy,

No worries catch you next month with a change of venue.

Hope you didn't bother too many nurses;)

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Thursday evening. Great company, and good food and ale.I thought the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Cheers Everbody, I'm really looking forward to next month.

new venue

Hi PW any ideas on the new venue front yet, be nice to sit around a big enough table to enjoy some friendly banter and a joke or too.

I could possibly arrange a big table at my local rugby club....but then I woudn't have to ride which would be a waste of time. Also not the most interesting of roads. But I can tell you the food would be good and great value and if we're early enough we could even have a quick game of touch on the hallowed turf!!

Touch rugby? If its not Blood rugby its not worth getting changed for. :D

How's this for a suggestion? If the weather is good, why can't we have a BBQ? If the wife and kids are coming, I wont be taking the bike anyway, so could bring the charcoal etc. I'm sure someone could suggest a scenic and convenient waypoint.

It'll be the Boat Inn at Whitney-on-Wye on Thursday 10th of May.

We've been there before and it provided good food and service with space to mingle for 20 plus. Abercrave just pack us that little corner which isn't suitable for the bigger gatherings and with 24 last month it was uncomfortably cramped.

It's a lot further for the Swansea contingent but with a little planning perhaps you could sort a group ride up for the Swansea area.

OOH, Been to the Boat before 'nice pub' there's B&B on site if needed, witch I can vouch for as I stayed over last summer.

It's about 220mls round for us :( but hey! the roads are great fun once your past Abergaveny :thumb

If we make it back from Llangollen in one piece we'll see you there. Though I expect we'll see quite a few of you at Llangollen in a week or so.

Ride safe Val.
