Pheonix - Arai distubutor in Newcastle under lyme has just proved to be very good.

contacted them to see if I could replace a broken chin vent on a 1997 quantum e !!!!!!.

they explained that the helmet was older than their recommended use by,(7 years manufacture 5 years use). however they sent a new chin vent free of charge to keep me going until I replace the hat.

5 year guarantees and an impressive helmet doctor lorry at race meetings and other back up service means my replacement will be another arai.

question
1. those with Tour - x style - are these noisy (wind etc) do they accept auto com speakers etc

2. where is a cheap source for UK spec arai helmets pref north west uk

No problem fitting the Autocom, you will have to fit the open face kit on the boom, not to much problem with wind  Autocome works a lot better with the visor down though, overall pleased with mine :thumb
If you do a search in the bargin section, there is a thred for suppliers.

If you have tried the TourX on fine, if not I would recomend you do as they come up a lot smaller than the other helmets in the Arai range.
If you want to try mine on, and look at the Autocom, you know were I am :D

CAUTION I think it only fair to point out that I ordered a C2 from motoplus (primarily on price looking so good!) back at the start of August and have just cancelled the order as they are still unable to supply, very apologetic etc etc blaming factory but being an old fashioned kind of fart I believe they should only be selling what they can supply ex stock or near as dammit. I see they still offer the c2 as of now! maybe I should reorder.......or maybe not!

Been using the Tour Cross and Tour X for two years now, best lid i've ever had. I was worried to begin with, with regard the peak at high speed as it seemed flimsy, but it's fine. Even wore it at Cadwell track day on a friends Gixer at +145mph :D :D :D :D

Not got the number at hand, but Richard at Jack Machins in Lincoln has done me two now (the latest was 3 months ago) VDB Grey, with black visor..£289 :thumb

Worth giving him a try.

I've just ordered two Arai Tour X's (£239 each inc P&P) today for myself and my good lady. Here is the cheapest place I could find and they do have them in stock now. :thumb
