arai tour x

Could anybody please tell or help me with arai sizing,saw a very good deal on here for a tour x from george white, the helmet is for the mrs, her shoei is a 53 but her head measures 54.5 arai sizing xs 53-54, s55-56 so my question is are arai helmets large sized as a rule? i know the only real way of finding out is to try one on, but feel a bit cheeky walking into a shop, going through the motions knowing am not going to buy from there

I have an XS for Lou and mine is an S . Both hardly worn so should be representative of what a new one feels like. Wanna try 'em ?

Not quite sure how they compare to regular sizing as my other lid for the past 5 yrs has been an Arai Quantum and I take an S in that too. The Tour Xs are supposed to fell a bit roomier compare to the equivalent ordinary lid but I am not sure how true this is.

It sounds like the XS would be OK for her .

not much help but iam usually a large and a medium in the tour x

You gotta try one on though its too much money just to go in blind.

i would have ordered a large if i had done what you are contemplating and i would have left with a bucket on my head

Got me a tour X. Medium fit. Tight for a while but soon give. best thou you can change the cheek pads for differant sizes, to get a better custom fit http://www.racevisors.co.uk/category/accessories-arai-cheek-pads. This is where got mine.
